Cremer Coating

For wire flame spraying or beam flame spraying the spray filler material is continuously melted in the centre of an acetyl - oxygen flame. A pulverising gas such as pressed air or nitrogen detaches the drops of spray particels from the melting area and sprayed onto the prepared work surface.

Wire flame spraying is a widespread method with very high spray coating quality standards.  Several hundreds of tons molybdenum are thus sprayed on shift forks, sychrone rings or piston rings in the automobile industry each year.
